Thomas S. Brownback, M.Ed.
Licensed Psychologist and Executive Director

Tom has been a psychologist for more than 20 years. Tom is a former Marine and did his graduate work in psychology at Temple University. He has done post-graduate work in theology with an emphasis in the integration of psychology and theology. He is certified as a Senior Fellow in biofeedback and EEG biofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. He is identified as a diplomate in Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG).

Tom is a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, the American Academy of Healthcare Providers in the Addictive Disorders, the International Society for the Study of Dissociation (ISNR) and the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Tom has presented numerous workshops, lectures and speeches to national and international professional conferences and community organizations on a wide variety of topics and has appeared on regional and national television. He is known for his seminal work on the use of neurotherapy in the treatment of dissociative disorders and is co-author of “Neurotherapy in the Treatment of Dissociation,” Introduction to Quantitative EEG and Neurofeedback, Evans and Abarbanel, editors, Academic Press, 1999. Tom is listed in the 1993-94 Edition of Who’s Who in the World.

 

Linda Brownback, M.A.
Licensed Psychologist and Director

Linda has been a member of the practice since 1982. Her graduate degree is from Kutztown University.

Linda is a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, and the American Association of Christian Counselors. Linda has presented numerous workshops, lectures and speeches to national and international professional conferences and community organizations on a wide variety of topics and has appeared on regional and national television and local radio. She is the co-author of “Neurotherapy in the Treatment of Dissociation,” Introduction to Quantitative EEG and Neurofeedback, Evans and Abarbanel, editors, Academic Press, 1999.

Linda has received the Outstanding Alumni Award from Kutztown University,1995. She was listed in the 1989 edition of Who’s Who of American Women and in the Millennium edition of Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare.

 

Annelie L. Shultz, M.A., Psychotherapist

Annelie has been an associate with the practice since 1992. A former high school teacher and college instructor, she received her graduate degree in counseling from Liberty University. She is certified in Reality Therapy and trained in trauma work using EMDR and DNMS.

Annelie is a member of the William Glasser Institute and has presented at its international conventions. She has held local and regional workshops teaching Choice Theory for loss and grief management and stress management. New Life Institute invited her to participate as group counselor at the “Lose It For Life” Conference in 2003.

Annelie is listed in the 2006 edition of the Who’s Who of American Women.

 

Jennifer L. Smith, L.S.W., Therapist

Jennifer is the most recent associate to join our practice.  Having completed her masters in Social Work at Syracuse University in 2002, she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at New York University.

Jennifer is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.  Her clinical experience began in community mental health where she worked primarily with children and families. Since then she has expanded her practice interests to include adoption advocacy and counseling, eating disorder treatment, and addictions treatment.  She recently completed the Level 1 Gambling Treatment Training offered by the Council on Compulsive Gambling of Pennsylvania, Inc.

As a university lecturer, Jennifer has taught Advanced Clinical Practice and Policy courses along with Sociology undergraduate courses.  Jennifer has authored “The role of distant intercessory prayer in social work” featured in Perspectives on Social Work (2008).

 

Donna L. Heidecker, B.A. Biofeedback Therapist

Donna has been with the practice since 1992, after graduating from Kutztown University. She is the primary technician for QEEG testing in the practice, as well as a neurotherapist. She utilizes her years of experience in training therapists from around the country in the administration of QEEG testing. Donna also provides technical support for our CNC1020 and CTC 1020 web-based checklists.

 

 

 

 

Sarah L. Weaber, Certified Peak Performance Specialist, Computer Specialist, Office Manager

Sarah is a certified peak performance specialist. She assists clients with peak performance, neurotherapy and heart rate variability independent training.

She has a wide range of knowledge in computer hardware and software, especially in the area of neurofeedback equipment and computer interfacing.

She not only creates customized systems for clients, but also provides software and hardware support. With a background in peak performance and doing peak performance training, herself, Sarah has the knowledge to aid clients with problems they face in training.

Sarah has been a part of our practice since 1988. As Office Manager, she is not only able to provide information about our office procedures and therapies, she is able to guide clients in handling insurance questions.

 

Pamela J. Adamson, Administrative Assistant

Pam provides administrative support for therapists, the Office Manager and the Director. She handles the business’ bookkeeping and manages other business needs.
